    What is benzoin gum powder?

The sap (gum resin) that comes from cuts in the trunks of Styrax family trees is called benzoin. On the skin, benzoin is used to treat ulcers, bedsores (pressure ulcers), broken skin, and many other problems, but there is no good scientific evidence to back these uses. People use a small amount of benzoin to enhance the flavor of their food.

How do I use benzoin gum powder?

The usual use rate for benzoin resin in cold process soap is 1/2 tsp to 1 tsp per pound of batch oils after it has been crushed into a very fine powder (or acquired in powder form). Benzoin resin is a common smell fixative that may be used alone or in combination with other scent fixatives, such as natural clays.

    Benzoin gum powder benefits:

It makes the skin more flexible and smooth, and it helps wounds heal faster. In addition to killing germs, benzoin resin keeps skin soft and smooth by stopping it from losing water. It also reduces the chance of allergic reactions to some soaps.

◉ Skin Health: In many ways, benzoin is beneficial for the face. It kills germs, stops infections, reduces inflammation, and tightens the skin. It helps cuts and sores heal faster and soothes acne, psoriasis, and spots. Benzoin's essential oil is often used in skin care items. It covers the skin by making a transparent film that retains moisture, makes the skin more flexible, and makes it smooth and soft. It can also be used on an itchy head to avoid and treat dandruff and make the hair shine.

◉ Emotional Balance: Incense made from benzoin wood can be burned to help keep your emotions in balance and get rid of sadness, grief, and anger. It is said to melt away blocks and open the heart with its earthy, tangy, and sweet vanilla smell. On the other hand, this beautiful incense is also energizing and uplifting, which makes it easier to concentrate and focus.

◉ Respiratory Health: Benzoin essential oil can be breathed to get rid of phlegm and relieve congestion in the nasal tract because it has natural expectorant qualities. Its ability to kill germs will also help pull out the bugs that cause coughs and colds.  If sneezing keeps you up at night, putting a few drops of benzoin essential oil on your pillow can help you sleep by calming you down and stopping the cough response.

◉ Digestive Health: When diluted benzoin essential oil is massaged into the stomach, it has a strong carminative effect that helps get rid of gas from the stomach and bowels. It calms and tones the digestive system while increasing the production of stomach juices, which are important for healthy digestion.
